Road Update – 4:40pm April 8th,2020

Heavy Haul Traffic 10 ton and over,

Due to the warm temperature that is in the forecast tomorrow all roads within the RM of Kindersley will be closed down to all heavy haul traffic 10 ton and over,  from 12:00pm (noon) to 12:00am (midnight).

As a reminder:

  • No mud is to be brought onto any grid roads
  • Travel on dry or frozen roads only
  • Anyone caught destroying the roads will be responsible for the cost of repairs to the road.

***Important Road Update*** March 25th, 2020

ALL HEAVY HAUL TRAFFIC 10 TON AND OVER

 

**Effective midnight THURSDAY (March 26th) all annual primary weight permits will be void. **

All roads within the RM of Kindersley will be secondary weight.

Travel is to be on “Dry or Frozen Roads only”

No mud is to be brought onto the grid at anytime.

Anyone caught destroying a road will be responsible for the cost of repairs to that road and could be subject up to a twenty five thousand dollar fine ($25,000.00).

March 22nd Road Update

All Heavy Haul Traffic 10 ton and over:

***TRAVEL ON DRY/ FROZEN TRACK ONLY AT ALL TIMES***

With tomorrow forecasting warmer weather we ask that you only travel on the frost.

No mud is to be brought onto any grid roads!

Travel on dry or frozen roads only!

***Road Reminder*** March 4th, 2020

All heavy haul traffic 10 ton and over:

With the wet snow that is in the forecast for our RM, please be prepared so you are not on the roads when this system hits.  Should the roads get shut down when you are on location then you will have to stay there until the roads are re-opened.

Anyone caught destroying a road will be responsible for the cost of repairs to that road and could be subject up to a twenty five thousand dollar fine ($25,000.00).

*Road Update* February 25th, 2020

All Heavy haul 10 tonnes and over:

With the plus temperatures that are being forecasted over the next few days, it is advised that you travel on the frost as much as possible.  Please avoid travel if the road is getting soft.

Anyone caught destroying a road will be responsible for the cost of repairs to that road and could be subject up to a Twenty Five Thousand dollar fine ($25,000.00).

  • Please remember to slow down to 40km when passing a yardsite.
  • Thank you for not using your engine brakes in front of yardsites on the pavement as well as gravel.

November 19th, 8:20pm **Road Update**

All Heavy haul 10 tonnes and over:

Under the authority of the Saskatchewan Highways and Transportation Act (1997), Section 10(2), Special Constable Kellin Everitt, a Peace Officer in the Province of Saskatchewan will as follows:

*All Divisions are now open*

The R.M. of Kindersley would like to remind users of the municipal roads that any damage done to the roads may be unlikely to be repaired before the roads freeze for the winter.  The R.M would like to caution users during this time to drive carefully to avoid any damage to the roads.

Please keep watching the website for updates.

Under the authority of the Saskatchewan Highways and Transportation Act (1997), Section 10(2), Special Constable Kellin Everitt, a Peace Officer in the Province of Saskatchewan will as follows:

*Divisions 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 will remain open until further notice *

***Division 4 is closed until further notice ***

At the end of these designated open times the road ban will resume at 10 tonnes.
